Biography
Also Known as: Abu Hammad, Abu Sa'ad, Abu 'Amr, Abu al-Aswad \r\nHe was one of the commanders of the Muslim forces that liberated Egypt. For three years he was the Muslim governor of Egypt after which he received orders from the Caliph Mua'wiyah to mount a naval expedition to the island of Rhodes in the Mediterranean Sea.
