Biography
A member of Khazraj tribe of Madinah. Met with the prophet (saw)in the elevent year of his mission, 620 CE. Among the six people from Yathrib to make the pledge to accept and spread Islam and to return the following year with new converts. According to some sources, he was involved in killing Abu Jahl with his brother Mu'awwidh but most authentic story is that it was Mua'dh bin 'Amr.
