Full Lineage: Mu'adh ibn Jabal ibn 'Amr b. Aus b. 'Aidh b. 'Adi b. Ka'b b. 'Amr b. Ady b. Sa'd b. Ali b. Asad b. Saridah b. Tarid/Tazid b. Jusham b. al-Khazraj
\r\nMuhammad (saw) said that He is the most knowledgeable of his nation in the matters of Halal and Haraam. He was also one of the six called Kutab al-Wahi who compiled the Qur'an under the authority of Muhammad(saw).
\r\nThe brotherhood was made b/w him and 'Abduallah bin Mas'ud.
\r\nHe was sent with Abu Musa al-Ash'ari to the people of Yemen.
